AM - fox

Hey Ollie

I've never used the hair tools in XSI, but you have definitely made a good start. Are there any options for clumping the hair together in areas? If so, you should play with options like this because it helps add realism.

One of the big things the fur has highlighted is that the chest area and legs seem very flat and square. It might be worth slightly adjusting the chest area to alleviate this appearance.

Also, the feet now seem a little thin and petite. I would try and increase the volume here to give the fox a more sturdy athletic appearance. This will also help when it comes time to add a final detail pass to the model as you mentioned.

When you come to upres the head area, don't forget to pinch the corner of the mouth a little more. Check out some reference and don't be afraid to go a little crazy on the head overall. This type of fluffy animal should ultimately have about 2 to 3 times the detail when compared to the rest of the body.

I wanted to draw on your model but the link doesn't seem to work. Anyway, I hope the comments help and keep up the good work.
